$16,000 for a small cohort of four researchers. $4,000 per person.
Writing Coaching
$180 per hour. Your team members sign up for one-on-one writing sessions with me on my scheduling app whenever they want help with their writing. Each writing session is two hours for a total of $360.
Lunch & Learn on Manuscript Writing
$500 stipend for a one-hour live session on Zoom

10-Week Intensive Course on Manuscript Writing
$4,000 per person. You are welcome to sign up for the course as an individual. I will assign you to a small cohort of three other researchers.

$180 per hour. You sign up for one-on-one writing sessions with me on my scheduling app whenever you want help with your writing. Each writing session is two hours for a total of $360.
Saturday Writing Salons
$300 for a total of five 2-hour writing sessions facilitated on five consecutive Saturdays.
Payment questions
What is the process for procuring your services through my institution?
If I am not already a registered vendor at your institution, I will immediately go through the process to become one. I do not have a contract for you to sign; rather, I sign your institution’s Independent Contractor Agreement.
When do you invoice my institution for your services?
Writing Coaching: You work with your department to determine the amount of funding you want to allocate to writing coaching based on my hourly fee of $180. Your institution then creates a purchase order for that amount. You schedule a writing session with me whenever you want help with your writing. After the writing project is completed, I invoice only the actual number of hours we work together. If my invoice is less than your purchase order total, you can either return the balance of the purchase order to its source or continue to work with me on other projects until the total is reached.
10-Week Intensive Course on Manuscript Writing: Your institution creates a purchase order for $4,000 for an individual researcher or $16,000 for a cohort of four researchers. After an individual or cohort have completed the course, I send your contact person an invoice.
Lunch and Learn: After I have facilitated the Lunch & Learn, I send your contact person an invoice for the stipend. Usually the institution does not issue a purchase order for a Lunch & Learn.
When do I pay for your services if I am paying for it with my own money?
Writing Coaching: You schedule a writing session with me whenever you want help with your writing and pay my hourly fee of $180 after each 2-hour session ($360 total).
10-week Intensive Course on Manuscript Writing: You pay full $4,000 fee (per person) before course begins.
Saturday Writing Salons: You pay the full $300 (per person) fee before the 5-week series begins.

Researchers use different resources to pay my fees
- Science institute awards
- Start-up funds, professional development funds, department funds
- Surplus grant funding
(The principal investigator contacts the program officer to request reallocation of unused funds to writing coaching.) - Grants
(The principal investigator writes me into the grant proposal budget as a writing coach. This is especially relevant for early-career, professional development-type awards.) - Out-of-pocket (Many researchers pay me with their own money and consider career advancement an excellent return on their investment.)
